Bottega Veneta under the direction of new creative director Matthieu Blazy is celebrating New York’s famed Strand Bookstore, a independent store founded in 1927. The collaborative leather bag is inspired by Strand’s famed tote bag as offered in three versions: woven black, black and yellow.
Under the direction of new creative director Matthieu Blazy, the effort marks a departure from Daniel Lee, who didn’t partake in collaborations, choosing a more esoteric approach which included eliminating the brand’s Instagram feed.
Right on time for New York Fashion Week, Bottega Veneta and Stand’s bags will be available at the label’s Soho store starting September 8, 2022, followed by a launch on bottegaveneta.com on September 15, 2022.
